Hi, hello, and welcome to the first monthly wrap-up at My Friend Sarah Made It! I’ve decided to start doing these little blog check-ins at the end of each month - part update, part memory book, part behind-the-scenes chaos report.
Let’s take a look at what happened in June, what’s still hanging around the shop, and what I’m looking forward to in July.
✨ MFSMI Highlights:

June was full of fresh earrings! I added new pieces to the shop every Friday - a mix of playful styles, beach-day basics, and cute neutrals that go with everything. You can browse what’s still in stock in my right here, but fair warning - a few styles are already almost gone.
🎉 Picnic + Parade Collection

This month’s big release was Picnic + Parade, a collection full of camping, backyard BBQ, and fun patriotic-inspired pieces. I leaned into the Americana vibe but gave it a vintage twist - I was loving those retro reds, faded denim blues, and cozy summer camp feels. Surprise favorite? Definitely the camping studs! The little tents and campfires are almost sold out, and I’m not even mad about it - they were so fun to make and even cuter in person. Behind the scenes, this collection came together right in the middle of peak summer chaos: driver’s ed? check. summer school? check. football? also check. No lazy mornings over here - it was full speed from dawn ‘til dusk.
☀️ Life Lately
The boys have been busy (well, one boy in particular). We’re about to celebrate my youngest turning 13 (his birthday is TOMORROW)!🎉 We’re also headed out of town for the 4th, which means we’ve been trying to pack, prep, and keep up with all the activities all at once.
Our pool is definitely earning its keep this summer - and we’ve added a projector for nighttime movies while we swim, which is easily one of my favorite new family traditions.
And in the middle of all the summer chaos, my husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary! 💕 Two decades. Three states. A house full of boys. A handmade biz. A lot of coffee. It’s been wild and wonderful, and I’m feeling extra grateful for this life we’ve built together.

📚 June Reading Recap
This month’s reading pile was a mix of swoony romance and a few misses. I read six books in June - these were my two favorites:
- The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren
- My Favorite Bad Decision by Elizabeth O’Roark
Both were smart, sweet, and just the right amount of swoon. Definitely recommend if you need something light-but-satisfying. Least favorite? Hidden Nature by Nora Roberts. I wanted to love it, but the pacing was off and I just… got bored. 🫣

Right now, I’m in the race to finish my book club’s June pick: The Mostly True Story of Tanner & Louise by Colleen Oakley. Our meeting is tonight, and yes - I’m reading right up to the wire. As usual. Hopefully I'm not still reading it at the table during discussions (yes. that has happened to me before)
(psst: Need recs or want to snoop my TBR list? I’m always updating over on Goodreads.)
📌 Looking Ahead to July
July is looking bright - and full of new things!
💫 “Everyday Magic” Collection – Dropping Mid-July This month’s collection is all about little delights - earrings that add something special to even your most ordinary days. It's dreamy textures, playful colors, and just a hint of sparkle. My BFF group will get first dibs, so come join us if you haven’t already!
🎄 Christmas in July Market – Saturday, July 26th I’ll be at the Seminole Rec Center from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM with current favorites, summer styles, and maybe a few early holiday surprises 👀 Check out all my upcoming events here!
🎨 Oh - and something exciting is brewing... My branding is getting a little refresh behind the scenes! I’m not sure exactly when the full suite will be ready, but I’ve been working with someone amazing to bring a new look to MFSMI.
Thanks for being here, for reading, for supporting, and for being part of my little handmade world. This is just the beginning of these monthly wrap-ups, but I already love having a spot to look back and share what’s next.
Here’s to a magical July ✨
xoxo,
Sarah
